August 20, 2005 - Conawingo Dam with Paulie & Steve
I met Paulie and Steve at the West Grove diner. They rode out this morning, Steve on his new FZ6, Paulie on his '86 Shadow. We had breakfast at the diner and got on the road. The trip to the dam took under an hour as it's right on Rt. 1. We parked at the dam and had some iced tea and water, hung out for a while and talked.
The ride down was uneventful and I led most of the way.
The ride home, all three of us took a turn as lead. We followed Rt. 1 North to Rt. 100 in Chadds Ford, PA, then turned south onto 100 and rode the twisties for a while. I turned around and headed home, while Paulie and Steve continued on their way home.
It was a short day of riding; the whole trip, including breaks and breakfast only lasted about 5 hours, but it was great to get out and ride for something more than just commuting to and from work.
Of course, we took some pictures!!
